This week I am joined by a member of Investment News 40 Under 40, Jon Stejoncomputer_betterment_storyin (CEO of Betterment).   Jon and I sat down last August and I so enjoyed this interview that I held it over until the start of our 2nd season.

There are a few thing that we all should take away from this talk, namely Jon’s work ethic, his ability to adjust and reroute, his commitment to company culture, his foresight, and his openness to share  his story. When we live in a culture that seems to focus on the surface and when we live in an internet based world where people on Youtube give the impression of perfection, it is refreshing to have someone like Jon Stein to imply that it takes work, time, and be ready for some mistakes and puzzles to solve.

Becoming a self-made individual takes time and effort…
